ACG’s Capital Connection 2018 Roundup
It was a fantastic couple of days at ACG Toronto’s Capital Connection 2018. New connections were made, and panelists and speakers presented on a host of compelling topics ranging from AI to Cannabis to Trends in Canadian Private Equity to Driving Portfolio Growth (to name just a few). There were impressive keynotes delivered by Shelby Austin, Brooke Coburn, and Canadian visionary Som Seif. Our own Ilan Jacobson co-chaired the event with Vaughn MacLellan, and shared his insights on a panel moderated by Mo Lidsky, discussing family offices, private equity, and their different perspectives on long term investments. Thanks to all, including Mike Fenton – C.F.R.E., the organizing committee, and the speakers and panelists for making Capital Connection 2018 a brilliant success.
FirePower was engaged to prepare PrintFleet for a a sale, and guide the company through to closing. Weeks before closing, the buyer with whom PrintFleet signed an LOI following a competitive auction, a Japanese Fortune 500 company, terminated the deal because of an internal reorganization. FirePower re-ignited conversations with a US strategic who had done well in the auction, and closed without any major challenges at an attractive price, terms and conditions.
