FirePower Capital Arranges Senior Term Debt Facility for Environics Analytics
FirePower Capital (“FirePower”), Canada’s entrepreneurial investment bank and investor, and Environics Analytics (“EA”), a leading North American data, analytics, and marketing services consultancy, are pleased to announce the closing of an expanded senior term debt facility. The transaction, led by FirePower’s Investment Banking division, supported EA’s growth plans as it continues to expand its reach across North America.
“We wanted to secure capital from a senior lender that fundamentally understood the drivers of value in our business, particularly as we expand in both the US and Canadian markets,” said Jan Kestle, CEO of EA. “Ultimately, FirePower’s team delivered what we needed: a term debt structure that is well thought out with respect to terms and conditions, and has enough flexibility to allow us to grow.”
“Our Investment Banking team managed the entire transaction from start to finish, but what really stood out for me is the competitive tension we generated between lenders,” said FirePower Founding Partner & CEO, Ilan Jacobson. “This tension enabled EA to ultimately select a proposal that had been compared, negotiated and improved significantly through the process; choice is a powerful advantage.”

FirePower was engaged to prepare PrintFleet for an exit to strategics, and guide the company through to closing. Four weeks before closing, the buyer with whom PrintFleet signed an LOI following a competitive auction, a Japanese Fortune 500 company, terminated the deal because of an internal reorganization. Far from giving up, FirePower re-ignited conversations with a Texas-based strategic who had done well in the auction, and closed without any major challenges at an attractive price, terms and conditions.
